An independent research initiative, non-commercial, working on a single question: what would have to exist before an artificial agent could be held to account rather than merely controlled.

The work is philosophical and legal in equal parts. It asks what a cost has to satisfy before it counts as one, what carries a record, and which of these can be built with instruments that already exist.
